Meetings and business rounds with the delegation of entrepreneurs from Primorska

Between Sunday, November 16, and Tuesday, November 18, we welcomed the Slovenian trade mission from the Primorska Chamber of Commerce, which until early December was touring different cities in Latin America to meet with various communities of Slovenian entrepreneurs and professionals based in the region.

After their arrival on Sunday, early that same day, they visited us at the Slovenian society Slomškov dom in Ramos Mejía, where Youth Day was being celebrated.

There they met countless Slovenians with whom they shared the day, while also getting to know the community through one of its most characteristic events.

On Monday the 17th, we began with meetings and gatherings with interested businesspeople.

First, together with Ambassador Tina Vodnik and Chargé d’Affaires Igor Šef, we had the pleasure of accompanying the entire group to a very productive meeting at the Argentine Investment and International Trade Agency. Representing our Chamber were our president, Martin Kriz, and our vice president, Antonio Oblak.

As the second item on the day’s agenda, we also participated alongside the delegation and embassy representatives in another meeting at the Argentine Chamber of Water. This meeting was particularly interesting for the Slovenian company Aqua Lab, as well as for our partner Vodatec, both of which specialize in water treatment.

Tuesday was another great day. During the day, a large number of meetings took place between the members of the delegation and representatives of our partner companies in Argentina. Among the most notable were:

– Meeting between Aqua Lab and Vodatec, both large companies dedicated to water treatment.

– Meeting between Aqua Lab and Aqua Rast, a small Argentine company dedicated specifically to hydroponic crop irrigation, as this activity is another branch of our Slovenian partner’s business.

– Meeting between Primorski sejem and Messe Frankfurt Argentina, both major players in the exhibition event organization business.

– Specific meetings between our companies and the Primorska Chamber of Commerce. These types of meetings were arranged for representatives of both Deper Argentina and Industrias Kras.

These were just some of the activities and companies involved in the 2025 Argentine-Slovenian business meeting. Other companies and sectors involved included paper and cardboard, with companies such as Papelera del Sur and G.P Grafika; education, with institutions such as the University of Primorska and the University of CEMA; traffic control and construction, with companies such as Cestel and American Traffic S.A. – ATSA.

In total, over the two days of the meeting, almost 30 private meetings were held to break down the barriers to intellectual and commercial exchange between the two countries. These days of important meetings would not have been possible without help. Therefore, we would like to give special thanks to Ambassador Tina Vodnik, Chargé d’Affaires Igor Sef, and the rest of the SLOAR team. We would also like to extend a special thank you to all the companies and professionals who visited us and to the more than 20 representatives who met with them to discuss the future of mutual trade.

Finally, we would like to express our special gratitude to the members of our community, who always support our initiatives and projects.

Let’s continue to grow together!
