On May 29, we had the pleasure of once again welcoming Andraž Stegu to Argentina. He is the CEO of Goričane, Slovenia’s leading paper company and one of Europe’s most prominent firms in the industry. The company is also part of our network of international partners, cementing a long-standing relationship with SLOAR.

Buenos Aires hosted a packed schedule of activities as part of the Slovenia–Argentina Business Mission 2026, an initiative that brought together representatives from institutions, public agencies, and companies from both countries with the aim of strengthening economic, trade, and investment ties.

On May 7, we visited the Oblak Aberturas stand at the tenth edition of Expo Construir, the most important business event and conference in the region’s construction industry.

On May 7, we had the honor of participating in the Europe Day celebration, an event for networking and reflection that brought together representatives from the diplomatic, academic, and business communities.

On May 4, we had the honor of participating in the event “Artificial Intelligence for a Shared Future: Scientific Symposium between Slovenia and Argentina,” a day of academic and scientific exchange that brought together specialists, researchers, officials, and representatives from institutions in both countries to reflect on the impact and opportunities offered by artificial intelligence in various areas of society.

On April 16, we held a very important event: a masterclass explaining the key points of the new Labor Modernization Act. The presentation was led by Dr. Alejandro Vommaro, an attorney specializing in corporate labor law and a founding partner of the law firm Reibel – Vommaro & Associates.

On March 19, we kicked off our company visits for the new year.
On this occasion, we toured the facilities of Tecniark, a company that for 28 years has been dedicated to the design, development, manufacturing, testing, and commissioning of electrical panels, as well as the production of metal enclosures for electrical use in various models and sizes.

On Tuesday, February, 3rd, we held our first meeting of the year with our valued partners, the representatives of the Slovenian Embassy in Argentina. Ambassador Tina Vodnik, Tija Kuhar, and Igor Šef attended the meeting. Representing Sloar were President Martín Kriz and Vice President Antonio Oblak.

On Tuesday, December 9th, we participated in an exclusive lunch with the Executive President of the Argentine Agency for Investment and International Trade (AAICI), Dr. Diego Sucalesca; the European Union Ambassador to Argentina, Mr. Erik Høeg; the Head of Cooperation, Ilse Couge; and representatives from European binational chambers interested in identifying investment opportunities for European Union countries in Argentina.

On the evening of Wednesday, December 3rd, we had the pleasure of wrapping up the year’s events with a dinner for our members and key partners. Ambassador Tina Vodnik and Chargé d’Affaires Igor Šef were also in attendance, and we would like to extend our special thanks to them for their ongoing support and collaboration.
