Meetings at the Office for Slovenes around the World

Finally, on Wednesday, October 2nd, came one of the most awaited encounters, the meeting at the offices of the Urad Vlade R.S za Slovence v zamejstvu in po svetu (in English known as the Office for Slovenians around the World).

There we were welcomed by Matej Arčon, Minister for Relations between Slovenia and Slovenians Abroad and Susana Martinez, Deputy Secretary of the institution.

At the meeting we talked about the new initiatives of the Chamber, which were made possible thanks to the support received and the mutual collaboration with the Government Office.

As a token of our gratitude, we presented Minister Arčon with a present, made by an artist from the Oblak factory. This was composed of a piece of Guayacan wood, also known as South American ebony, and a piece of Slavonian oak, which was part of an old barrel.

In addition, on this occasion, thanks to the minister’s management, we managed to greet and talk briefly with the former president of Slovenia, Borut Pahor, whom we had already met during his visit to Argentina in 2016. He sends great greetings to the entire Slovenian community in Argentina and is grateful for the moments we shared.

We will continue working together to improve the present and future commercial relations of both nations!
