Well-Deserved CelebrAtion

Last Thursday on October 5^th, we had a very important celebration. It was the way to celebrate the success since our Chamber was celebrating two years of productive work. A stage full of efforts focused on the realization of projects we set ourself as goals of our institution. To highlight it we organised a dinner which was attended by members, friends and special important guests.

The chosen location was the Slovenian Centre of Ramos Mejía Slomškov dom, where the Slovenian Argentine Chamber of Commerce was created. More than one hundred people gathered, arriving with greetings, new members, reunions and talks. All of them were received with a warm welcome.

At dinner time, two very special guests appeared on stage: the recognised journalist Eduardo Serenellini and the businessman Federico Fontenla, director of the prestigious Argentine company Mobiliarios Fontenla and Fontenla Casa. They held an interview whose main themes were the importance of entrepreneurship, relation and participation in institutions that sustain and support particular projects.

In addition to celebrating success of our two years of successful work, it was the occasion to recognise and emphasize the action of some people. That is why special recognition was given to the Ambassador of the Republic of Slovenia, Mr. Alain Brian Bergant, and to the Honorary Consul and also honorary partner of our institution Mr. Hernán Zupan, for supporting and accompanying the development and performance of SLOAR.

In this opportunity, it also seems very important to us to highlight the career of two members, founders of their prosperous companies. For that reason, we presented two awards to Mr. Antonio Oblak and Mr. Mariano Petkovšek.

We must highlight that our anniversary coincided with an important event. An important delegation of businessmen and members of the Slovenian Brazilian

Chamber of Commerce, SLOBRAZ visited us with its president Mr. Matjaž Cokan. The meeting also was the favourable opportunity to sign a cooperation agreement between the two Chambers. It was a way not only to celebrate the work done, but also to project the gaze and action into the future. The agreement aims to increase trade and information exchange, at the same time it is implemented a virtual business map without forgetting mutual assistance between both Chambers. It is a fundamental pillar for the future of our efforts.

The institutional event was followed by a dinner with Slovenian delicacies. The meeting continued in a friendly atmosphere enjoying very good company.
